Terms of service
Plain-language rules for using LOOSE. Effective October 28, 2026. By using the site or signing up you agree to them.
1. What LOOSE is
LOOSE is an online community and marketplace where surf, skate, BMX and punk people can find each other, buy and sell gear and merch, book lessons and local guiding, and collaborate on paid projects. LOOSE is currently in early access. The interactive demo on the home page uses fictional sample people, brands and prices; nothing in the demo is a real offer.
2. Who can use it
- You must be at least 13 to join early access or use the community features.
- To sell, teach, guide, receive collab earnings or get paid out you must be 18 or older (our payment provider, Stripe, requires adult account holders in most countries) and complete identity verification.
- Give accurate information and keep your login safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
3. Buying and selling
- Sellers are responsible for their listings: describe items honestly, show real photos, ship what you sold and follow the law where you live.
- LOOSE takes payment through Stripe and passes the seller's share to them. We never see your full card or bank details.
- The price, LOOSE's fee and any shipping are shown before you pay. Fees can change, but never for an order you already placed.
- Not allowed: weapons, drugs or drug gear, stolen goods, counterfeits or bootleg band merch, anything that infringes someone's copyright or trademark, adult content, and anything illegal to sell where you or the buyer live.
4. Lessons and local guiding
- Instructors and guides are independent members, not LOOSE employees. They are responsible for safety, any required permits or insurance, and knowing the conditions.
- Surfing, skating and BMX are risky. Ride within your ability, wear protection, and follow park and beach rules. You take part at your own risk.
- Cancellations and refunds follow the refund policy.
5. Collabs and earnings splits
- Everyone in a collab agrees the split (for example 50 / 30 / 20) before money comes in. LOOSE pays each person their share of what's left after LOOSE's fee.
- Only add people who agreed to the collab, and only use music, footage and artwork you have the rights to. Band names can be interest tags; using a band's recordings or artwork needs their permission.
- Each person is responsible for their own taxes on what they earn.
6. How to behave
No harassment, hate, threats, scams, spam, impersonation or sharing someone's private information. Extra care with under-18 members: adults may not ask minors to meet alone, move to private apps or send photos. We can remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules. 7. Your content
You own what you post. You let LOOSE show it on the service so the service works (for example, showing your listing or your clip to matched riders). You can delete it any time.
8. Things we can't promise
LOOSE is provided as is. We work hard to keep it running and safe, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we're not responsible for what members sell, teach or say. To the extent the law allows, LOOSE's liability is limited to the fees you paid LOOSE in the last 12 months.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as LOOSE grows. If a change matters, we'll tell members by email or on the site before it takes effect.
