Portland skateparks, rain or shine

Portland has one of the deepest public skatepark networks in the US. These are the parks Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) lists as open, with the main entrances it publishes, plus the legendary DIY under the Burnside Bridge.

Updated 2026-10-28 · by LOOSE

PP&R skateparks are outdoor, public and free. Hours, closures and rules change, so check the linked official page on the day you go.

Burnside Skatepark

Under the east end of the Burnside Bridge (SE 2nd Ave), Portland, OR 97232

Skaters poured the first concrete here without permission on Oct 31, 1990, and the city endorsed it in 1993. Skaters built it and still look after it, which is why it isn't on the PP&R list. The terrain is for experienced skaters, so watch a session before you drop in.
